In a bunch of the episodes from season 1 they had the unit 636 either leading a pursuit or being involved in a part of the show. It was later into the show on TV recently aired that a person in the show had a multiple personality disorder and during a police chase he stole the car 636. In that episode I realized that it couldn't be a coincidence and unit 636 has to have a back story or meaning. please help me out with this theory.

I'm not aware of any specific meaning to Unit 636 within the lore of Five-O. However, Part 636 of Title 32 of the Code of Federal Regulations regulates Department of Defense vehicles and drivers, creating what we might call a "military DMV". Given Steve's bad driving habits, borne of years of military service, one could imagine it might be a writer's in-joke. It's probably not, but it could be :)
