Eddie is a yellow Labrador Retriever search and drug detection dog. He often helps the Five-0 Task Force, when they need to find a person, drugs or bomb in a large radius. Before that, he was part of the United States Marine Corps and the DEA, both of which his handlers were killed.
Season 8[]
Eddie first appeared in Dog Days, during a DEA raid that episode, his holder DEA Agent Paul Lazio was shot and died. Eddie was shot by one of the perpetrators as well, but the bullet missed his vitals. He secluded himself in a container, where he was discovered by Steve McGarrett and he was rushed to a vet clinic where he had where he had surgery and thus survived. During his surgery, Jerry Ortega visits the clinic and asks to be notified as soon as Eddie wakes up. He manages to recover and assists in bringing down his handler's killers, including saving Lou Grover, who wasn't a dog person, from a gunman and mauling a corrupt DEA Agent. Following the raid, McGarrett takes Eddie in and he's been living at the McGarrett house ever since.
In No Matter How Much One Covers a Steaming Imu, The Smoke Will Rise, Steve brings Eddie to Tani's house to help comfort her after her guilt of blaming herself for Aaron Wright's escape.
In The Fire Blazed Up, Then Only Ashes Were Left, Eddie accompanied the Five-0 Task Force to the interrogation for a mandatory shelter protocol, which was ruined by Danny's neglectful tardiness before they, including Eddie, all agree, except for Jerry Ortega, that they'd rather die than hide if a nuke strike happened.
Season 9[]
In Cocoon, Eddie watched McGarrett and Junior bury Kamekona's money in the backyard.
In The Man Who Fell from the Sky, Eddie unfortunately digs the money out, which ends up flying out of the bag.
In Truth Comes from the Night, the team use Eddie to find a vigilante's killer.
Season 10[]
In Knocked Flat by the Wind; Sudden Disaster, Eddie detects a bomb in McGarrett's garage and warns him. He later helped free Tani Rey, Junior Reigns and others from a collapsed tunnel.
In The Trunkless Tree of Kahilikolo, when Danny goes to stay at McGarrett's place, he tries to go for the couch, but he doesn't let him as Eddie always occupied it.
In The Rat was Caught Right in the Nest, Eddie plays with Charles Williams and a reforming bully while the latter's father discussed his divorce with McGarrett and Danny.
In There Was a Lull, and then The Wind Began to Blow About, Eddie suffers a PTS attack when he smells an imported flower that reminded him of the country his original handler was killed and nearly gets hit by traffic while running, but is saved by McGarrett. McGarrett's neighbor, a botanist, arranged to have them moved to a different greenhouse.
In Goodbye, Steve bids Eddie farewell before he leaves.
