Eric Russo is a forensic lab tech scientist for the Honolulu Police Department and who occasionally does work for the Hawaii Five-0 Task Force and the nephew of Detective Danny Williams.
His mother Stella is Danny's sister who raised him alone. His father is out of the picture.
Season 3[]
In Kapu, Danny brought Eric over to a crime scene to straighten him out, but it doesn't work. He then revealed that Eric was caught in a stolen car but Danny saw to it that the charges were dropped. Following this, his mother sent him to Danny in the hope that he could straighten out his nephew. Later at the Five-0 headquarters, he plays with the computer a bit before being sent to Danny's office, where he sends an old New Jersey calendar photo of Danny to everyone in his address book.
Season 6[]
In Ua 'o'oloku ke anu i na mauna, Danny was forced to wake up early so that he could take Eric over to the crime lab on his first day, complaining that he should get his own apartment.
Season 7[]
In Makaukau 'ce e Pa'ani, he tells Steve and Danny about Noelani Cunha, only to be hung up.
In Ka hale ho'okauweli, Eric is called to a haunted house where he tells McGarrett and Grover the time he was dressed up as a Pink Power Ranger, got lost from his friends, and ended up wetting himself when Danny and some friends ambushed him in the park. Later, while processing the house, Eric realises that the house wasn’t haunted, so he and Danny prank the others with the stuff in the house when they came back.
In Elua la ma Nowemapa, when the FBI started taking evidence from Five-O's case of a murdered conspiracy theorist, Eric calls Danny to warn him.
In Ka Pa'ani Nui, Eric is called in to process a victim's bungalow, but comes in by horse, much to his annoyance, and complains about it to McGarrett, who amused him about his ass.
In Puka 'ana, Eric greets Kono politely, to her surprise, and he admits that Danny will have him fired if he flirted with her again. After giving her some results, Eric tries to offer some cookies that Sara Waincroft persuaded him to buy, but she declined, saying she already bought some from her, much to his annoyance.
Trivia[]
- He was born when Danny was 18.
- Likes to be called E-Train, which Steve rarely calls him by.
- He watches Discovery Channel.
- In the episode Ka hale ho'okauweli he tells a story about Halloween 1995 mentioning he was 10 years old at the time, setting his birthday between November 1st, 1984 and October 31st, 1985, contradicting the trivia above.
