Jovan Eteinne was a man wanted in connection with the death of John McGarrett as Eteinne was friends with Victor Hesse, the man who had killed John whose son was Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett.
Upon being confronted at a Chinese ship in the harbor, Eteinne attempted to fight back, only to be shot in the leg and arrested by Steve's partner, Detective Danny Williams.
