He took Jen Hassley away at the request of her biological mother but unfortunately, Steve Carver discovered what had happened and murdered Porter while also bringing his granddaughter back to the cult although both mother and daughter were later rescued and the cult presumably disbanded for good thanks to Hawaii Five-0.
