Nick Taylor was an ex-Navy SEAL, and former friend of Lieutenant Commander Steve McGarrett who ran a private security group that was chosen to protect General Pak.
Unfortunately, it was later revealed that Nick and his group were the ones planning on killing Pak before he could testify, prompting Steve along with his Hawaii Five-0 team of Detective Danny Williams, Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly and Officer Kono Kalakaua to defend the General and his family in a tense stand-off that wound up at the McGarrett Residence.
Eventually, Steve and Nick confronted each other on the beach outside the McGarrett house and after an intense battle, Steve shot Nick, killing his former Navy SEAL friend and fellow brother in arms.
