In Hoa 'Inea, Renee was disappointed when Lou showed up, having forgotten Valentine's Day because he was playing golf, due to wearing a suit she wanted to donate, was still wearing golf shoes and brought cheap flowers and chocolate. While she accepts them, she tells him to spend 24 hours away from her 'without parole'. They later made up at the end of the episode.

In Malama Ka Po'e, Renee and her family had to flee when they heard that Aaron Barnes Jr, a criminal that her husband Lou put away during an undercover operation 25 years ago, is now hunting for them so that they can kill him and his family for revenge. When Zagar takes them to Molokai, Lou realizes that he's set them up and drives off-road in order to escape Agent Zagar and the bogus cops. Lou and Renee split up while Renee looks after the kids along with the gun that Lou gave her for protection. She kills one of the bad guys and is shocked as she has never killed anyone before. Nonetheless, she and her family survive while Barnes and his men are dead thanks to Steve and Kono.
