Kamekona Tupuola started up his Shaved Ice business after getting out of prision in early 2009. He employed his cousin Flippa Tupuola, and his arresting officer, Chin Ho Kelly was his first customer.

• Kamekona later opened a Shrimp Business in mid 2011 off the money he made from his Shaved Ice endeavours.
